“ This restaurant has been top 30 restaurants in New Jersey according to New Jersey Digest for the last couple of years. We finally got to try it. The chefs tasting menu ran out for the day already, we should have come earlier. Each dishes are beautifully crafted, presentation is good and dishes are delicious. Next time will come back earlier for the chefs tasting menu. ”
“ We dined at Common Lot last night and truly enjoyed Chef Ehrens eclectic culinary masterpieces. The artistic expression of each dish was a wonderful treat for the senses. Dont miss out on this local gem! ”
“ We came to Common Lot for dinner on an impromptu visit after having to cancel another reservation. We truly relished Chef Ehrens artistic culinary masterpieces, from the Hen of the Woods and sashimi to the branzino and sticky date pudding, to name a few. We will definitely return to try the full tasting menu! ”
“ Probably the best BYOB restaurant in North Jersey. Its a 95 prix fix dinner menu on Fri and Sat and it changes seasonally. Foodwise, they are def Michelinworthy restaurant probably not a full 1 star but a half which obviously doesnt exist but should give you a sense of the food quality, taste and presentation. We personally love coming here and have been frequenting it more than we probably should. Great for a special occasion or just a quiet upscaleish dinner. ”
“ Had a delicious meal here last summer at this BYOB spot Friday and Saturday nights are prefixe menu will definitely be back to try their seasonal a la carte menu during the week. Cutemodern interior, great for date night or dinner with friends. ”
“ We thought the food and service was excellent. Well spaced tables upstairs. We also loved the open kitchen vibe too down stairs though my wife really liked the quiet comfort up not sure if thats still open. Appetizers and main course were really unique and delicious. See pictures. Small quibble I wish the portions were a tad bigger, but perhaps cost is an issue maybe throw in some fingerling potatoes. Definitely recommend. ”
“ Delicious food and wonderful service! Everything on the menu was cooked and seasoned perfectly, and we tried all of the appetizers and most of the main courses. However, if you want alcohol, you must bring your own bottles and they dont charge a corkage fee. Highly recommend the dining experience! ”
“ Extremely pleased with our first visit to Common Lot. We came on a Saturday evening and tried both the chefs tasting menu and prix fixe. From start to finish, we felt very welcome to dine here, and both the taste and texture of food courses were well executed and refined. Server was very courteous and we were given a short description of each tasting menu course. Overall wwould deem this a Michelinstarred experience. For this visit, we were particularly impressed with beef cheeks and sunchoke risotto. The venison was a close second. Highly recommend and will certainly return to try other courses. ”
